Why? About One In A Million
Since 2005 One In A Million Charity has been committed to transforming the lives of thousands of children and young people through our organised sports, the arts and enterprise pathways to help these children dream big about their future and break the cycle of depravation, which may be over their young lives.
We firmly believe that every child deserves an opportunity to thrive in our city despite their postcode. Over 48,000 children across Bradford face immense challenges such as poverty, drug abuse, violence and a lack of hope. That’s why One in A Million (OIAM) is committed to providing opportunities to; engage, enrich and enhance their lives, signposting children and young people to a brighter future.
Did you know in our ‘last quarter’ of our reporting year alone...
- 721 children and young people aged 5-19 attended 346 OIAM sessions in; Bierley, Canterbury, Keighley, Manningham & Windhill;
- 51% of these children live in the top 10% areas of deprivation nationally;
- 92% of children say that OIAM greatly impacts their lives.
