Pathways
Our engagement, enrichment and enhancement pathways are designed to increase and improving children and young people’s life chances, aspirations, confidence and self-esteem alongside their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Through our Community Strategic Pathway, we:
- positively engage with children and young people in the most deprived areas of Bradford and offer a safe place for them to go after school where they can have foundational, fun and positive experiences
- enrich the lives of those young people, offering the chance to experience a variety of activities through our taster sessions, facilitating them to discover their talents and passions
- enhance the potential in those children and young people by offering opportunities to pursue those talents and passions to the highest level through qualified coaching and training, and includes qualifications and accreditations.
This flexible pathway ensures that every young person has the opportunity to learn what their talents and skills are, discover their aspirations, and then choose to pursue them to the highest level for themselves.
Our passion is to ensure that these activities are delivered by the very best teachers and qualified coaches who have experienced excellence as practitioners. This, as well as the Community Partners we collaborate with such Bradford City AFC, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, and Bradford Bulls among others.
Building Capital Culture
Cultural Capital is very much at the centre of what we do. We are always looking to increase this for each child and young person. Cultural Capital can be defined as “a major factor in forming the foundation of social life and effects an individuals position within the social order. The more capital one has, the more powerful position one occupies in social life”. (Pierre Bourdieu, ref: https://www.trueeducationpartnerships.com/schools/what-is-ofsteds-cultural-capital/).
