The event brought together colleagues, families and friends from across their business for a fantastic community day featuring face painting, retro gaming machines, inflatables, arts and crafts, a raffle, ice cream, BBQ, live music entertainment and the popular 'Beat Billy' penalty shootout challenge!

At One In A Million's pop-up stand, children (and plenty of adults!) tested their football skills by taking on Billy Bantam in our exciting Beat The Goalie penalty shootout challenge for the chance to win lots of prizes! 

Participants got three chances to score past Bradford City's famous mascot, Billy Bantam. Everyone who managed to score one or more goals won instant prizes! And for those that managed to score three goals, they were entered in a prize draw for the chance to win one of five golden footballs!

The rowing theme continued at Expect Distribution following last week's Bradford Dragon Boat Festival 2026, where colleagues proudly represented One In A Million on the River Aire. Swapping paddles for a rowing machine, staff embraced a new challenge, with Managing Director Matthew Kilner and Operations Director Andy Taylor among the first to step up and set the standard for others to follow.

One In A Million's Mark Hughes and Craig McHugh also took to the stage to share some words about how the charity is transforming the lives of young people through sports, the arts and enterprise, before ending with a few words of gratitude to everyone for supporting the day.

The day concluded with a lively raffle hosted by business owners Matthew Kilner and Andy Taylor, with dozens of generous prize donations from Expect Distribution's partners, suppliers, clients and friends, creating plenty of delighted winners. The raffle proved popular with the crowd helping raise valuable funds to support our charity's work with children and young people across the Bradford District.
