A delicious selection of sweet and savoury treats, exciting prize giveaways and a special souvenir gift bag helped create a warm and vibrant atmosphere throughout the afternoon. We were delighted to welcome dual hosts Lisa Darwin and Lara Martin, who brought energy and warmth throughout.

Reflecting on the day, Lara said: “What a fun-filled day spent with family and beautiful friends (some who go back decades) as well as all the fabulous guests, donors and sponsors. It was so good for the soul. It was wonderful being able to celebrate some of these amazing young people and hear about their fantastic achievements! Remember 'one kind act can have a HUGE impact’”.

Megan shared: “Spending the afternoon at the charity afternoon tea really reminded me how important it is to support our local community. It was such a lovely event, and a great way to catch up with the other ladies. The selfie booth was definitely a highlight (I couldn’t NOT get involved!!), and it was great to be around so many like-minded women who all care about the same cause and being a part of something bigger than ourselves”.

Our ever-popular luxury raffle created a real buzz, with incredible prizes generously donated by supporters, and many tables celebrating a win.

Nicola reflected: “What a fun afternoon we all had! The food was delicious. The games, raffle and silent auction were very entertaining! I can’t wait to book my ticket for the next one as it’s such a worthwhile cause which really makes a difference to children’s lives”.

New for 2026, Boogie Bingo had the whole room singing along to classic hits from the 80s and 90s, adding even more energy to the afternoon.

As Sarah shared: “It was a fabulous day including Boogie Bingo and lots of Prosecco, and a fantastic silent auction. It was such a fun afternoon. Thank you to colleagues from The HR Dept Bradford for supporting this amazing event today. We all really enjoyed it!”.

The Silent Auction was also incredibly well supported, featuring a wide range of luxury experiences and items. The generosity shown was outstanding, with Victoria reflecting: “It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and fun afternoon. Very well organised with great food, games, raffle, and prizes to be won. Most importantly it was a brilliant way of raising funds for such a worthwhile charity. Well done to everyone who organised such an amazing event for One In A Million Charity”.

A highlight of the day was the brand-new Storybox Full Length Selfie Mirror, where guests captured fun photo memories with props.

The afternoon also provided an opportunity to hear inspiring stories as One In A Million enters its 20th anniversary year. Sacha shared: “Thank you so much to One In A Million Charity for everything they do to help and support our local children! I was blown away with your stories of how some of the children have progressed into beautiful people. It was heartwarming”.

Fittingly, Kirsty added: “What a fantastic way to raise funds to help them support local children across the District. I’m looking forward to the event’s 10th anniversary next year!!”.
