School Students Have Got Talent!

31st January 2022. At the close of last term OIAMFS were delighted to promote the skills of our students in our ‘House Talent Show’. 25 performers across all year groups made the final selection. The range of performances included singing, dancing, piano playing, football tricks, and basketball skills, written speeches, animations, and eve a ‘magic to a rubix cube challenge’ between two students!

Due to Covid restrictions, the show was pre-recorded and streamed into classrooms for all students to watch. Then, students were encouraged to vote for the winning act and also the winning overall performance. Team Bronte came first, followed by Lister, Ripley and McMillan.

The overall winner was Kingly-David (above) for his stupendous performance on the piano. Congratulations! We look forward to watching

Mujtaba A, comedy singing performer, “It's a good thing to get involved in because it makes people happy and laugh. It made me feel more confident. If people are happy and laughing, it showed me that people enjoyed the performance. If you feel confident in doing The Talent Show, it can make you feel more confident about doing more things”.

William D, football skills performer, "I felt nervous at first about doing The Talent Show. I was questioning myself about whether I should do it, and then I did it. Now, I am happy that I was able to participate. I feel more confident now that I have done it. I'm happy that I did it”.

Huge congratulations to everyone who participated in The Talent Show. Well done for the courage and talent you showed in your performances and doing so with such confidence!
